kosmunity update – 11/8/2022

First, thanks to each of you for helping to support the channel. Whether we're spit-shining our shiftling monocle or just choppin' some tumbling viking lumber, it's always a pleasure.

I have been just blown away by the games we've been playing recently. Nioh 2 continues to rock; we've downed three main bosses, we're slowly getting a feel for the amazingly deep combat, and we haven't hit any walls. I mean, except for the sentient yokai walls we savagely beat to a pulp.

And then there's Valheim! Bruh. We can file this one in the "games I knew I'd enjoy but didn't realize I'd straight-up love" file. We're still very early days (pre-Eikthyr), but we've got a lovely fledgling home base, a functioning apiary with three queens, and we've scoped a gorgeous beachfront site for a new outpost.

In the realm of indies with a quieter profile, we've tried Artist Life Simulator and Ex-Zodiac; they were both awesome (thank you to Placeholder Gameworks and Pixeljam for the keys)! Artist Life Simulator is a card-based simulation of living, loving, painting, drinking, and dying in Bohemian 19th century Europe. Fartavio made some rad abstracts, but he eventually succumbed to an alcoholic spiral and Demons of the Psyche. Lol. Ex-Zodiac is a retro Star Fox-inspired polygon rail shooter with some serious action. We played through all the early access content twice last Friday, and it was super fun! If you dig Star Fox, I recommend this.

And then there's Maude ... I mean ... modded 1994 X-COM! We have finally arrived at the Black Lotus cult's HQ facility. Dude, they are NOT playing around. We had our first attempt at the HQ mission yesterday, and it was packed to the gills with terrifying enemy units, both familiar and brand new. We are going to wipe them off the face of the Earth, but it's going to be tough.

I never look at my Twitch analytics anymore, but yesterday I did the deep-dive on lifetime stats. I learned that I've been streaming full time for 4.6 years, with 7,204 hours LIVE . That comes out to an average of 4 hours and 20 minutes every day. Here's to 7,000 more, y'all. 🌈🍻
